This is a new sub group, formed after October’s meeting on FGM.( Female Genital Mutilation)
We plan to meet monthly and discuss issues that either come up from the monthly meetings or issues we feel are particularly important to women.
We’ve met once (with a very small turnout). We decided we would invite the Head of Health and Education in Newham as well as local MP, Lyn Brown to talk to the group about Newham’s stand on FGM within the community.
If you are passionate about campaigning, come to the next meeting which will be on Wednesday 27th November.

Campaigns Group February Meeting

The group will be meeting Tuesday 11th Feb 7pm at the Forest Tavern- subject continuing talks about FGM, and how to take this particular campaign forward, plus discussion about what other campaigns we would like to support.
